After spending 300 miles on the Ignatian Camino, Boston College graduate Christine Marie Eberle returned to the United States with blisters that would fade, friendships that would not, and the conviction that anyone can develop a pilgrim heart. In her book Finding God Along the Way: Wisdom from the Ignatian Camino for Life at Home (Paraclete Press, 2025), Eberle traces the journey of 25 pilgrims—ranging in age from 55 to 84—who spent a month following the footsteps of St. Ignatius across Spain as part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the Ignatian Volunteer Corps. Her moving and often humorous account, sprinkled with questions throughout, encourages readers to reimagine their own life’s path. Eberle earned a master’s degree from BC in 1992. A former campus minister, Eberle is a writer, public speaker, and retreat facilitator. Her previous books are Finding God in Ordinary Time and Finding God Abiding.
