Dublin native Declan Kiberd, a leading international authority on the literature of Ireland, will present “Militarism or Modernism? Intellectual Origins of the Easter Rising, Dublin 1916,” on Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. in Merkert Hall, Room 127. Kiberd is the author of The Irish Writer and the World, Irish Classics, Inventing Ireland, and Ulysses and Us: The Art of Everyday Life in Joyce’s Masterpiece, among other books.
