Boston College research psychologist Peter Gray, author of Free to Learn, will give a talk on “The Biology of Education: How Children Learn Through Self-Directed Play and Exploration” on Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Boston Public Library, Johnson Conference Room #3 . In the talk, Gray will discuss the importance of questioning the traditionally accepted “imprisonment schooling model,” and the importance of autonomy and self-direction in education.
