Whirby

A new children’s book by 2010 Boston College graduate Molly Harris shares a critical life lesson about the importance of rest. Illustrated by Jacob Souva, Whirby (HarperCollins, 2026) is about a robot called Whirby whose favorite school activity is bot battles. Whirby stays up practicing his best moves and building the coolest contraptions before the big battle. Whirby is so excited that he forgets to recharge at night. When it’s finally his turn to compete, his battery is on zero. Whirby is a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection. Harris’s other children’s book is The Big Squeeze.
