Alumnus Lev Golinkin will discuss his memoir, A Backpack, a Bear, and Eight Crates of Vodka, at BC on January 27 at 7 p.m. in Gasson Hall, room 100. Golinkin came to the US as a child refugee from the Soviet Union in 1990. His op-eds and essays have appeared in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe and Salon, among other outlets.
