Nobel Peace Prize winner Shirin Ebadi, an Iranian lawyer and human rights activist, will give an address on Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. in Gasson Hall 100. Ebadi was honored with the Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts in support of democracy and human rights, especially the rights of women and children. She was the first Iranian and the first Muslim woman to receive the prize. She is co-author of Iran Awakening: One Woman’s Journey to Reclaim Her Life and Country and author of The Golden Cage: Three Brothers, Three Choices, One Destiny.
