Elaine Pagels, author of Revelations: Visions, Prophecy, and Politics in the Book of Revelation, will deliver a lecture on Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. in Devlin Hall, room 101. Pagels’ other works include The Gnostic Gospels; Adam, Eve and the Serpent; The Origin of Satan; Beyond Belief: The Secret Gospel of Thomas, and  Reading Judas: The Gospel of Judas and the Shaping of Christianity.  She is the Harrington Spear Paine Professor of Religion at Princeton University.
