The extraordinary rise of living alone

Sociologist Eric Klinenberg, author of Fighting for Air: The Battle to Control America’s Media and Heat Wave: A Social Autopsy of Disaster in Chicago, will speak on campus on Oct. 26 in the Murray Function Room at 7  p.m. about his current book project about the rise of living alone. A popular commentator, Klinenberg appears frequently on television and radio, and has written for the New York Times Magazine, Rolling Stone, the Wall Street Journal, the Nation, the London Review of Books, and NPR’s This American Life.
