New book on Eagles Hockey

hockey bookThe new book Tales from the Boston College Hockey Locker Room: A Collection of the Greatest Eagles Hockey Stories Ever Told (Sports Publishing, 2014) details the long and highly successful history of men’s ice hockey at Boston College, from the informal “ice polo” competition held among students at BC’s original campus in the South End of Boston in the 1890s to the emergence of Boston College hockey as one of the most successful programs in all of collegiate sports. Through interviews and archival research, co-authors Tom Burke and Reid Oslin (a BC alumnus and former BC sports information director) tell the story of legends like coaches John “Snooks” Kelley and Len Ceglarski, as well as modern era Eagles from Jerry York  to Brian Leetch. More in this Boston College Chronicle Q&A with Oslin. Clark Booth praised Tales from the Boston College Hockey Locker Room in a recent column for The Pilot.
